The Making of a FrankenViolin - Adding Hardware
I needed a solution for the door. I initially thought of taping it down but determined it would not look good nor last. I thought about adding a hinge but didn’t want bulky hardware on the violin. When I looked further into hinges, I discovered that jewelry box hardware could work perfectly. The hinges were tiny and the matching closing clasps would also work great, and on top of that, they looked pretty too. Once the paint dried, I installed the hinges and clasps using my Dremel drill. My little trapdoor worked perfectly!
